To Snack or Not to Snack?

A question that I often get from ladies who are starting the SLIMQUICK Mix and Match diet is if they are allowed to have snacks on this meal plan, or not. Now, this answer is not as simple as I would like it to be.

The way the Mix and Match diet works is that you have filling and hearty meals 3 times a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) so that you aren’t hungry in between and you don’t have to worry about prepping food ahead of time and constantly eating. Some meal plans have you eating about 5-6 meals a day, and for many people, that method is just not convenient or sustainable.

The SLIMQUICK Mix and Match diet is based on approximately 1300 – 1400 calories a day. So if you start adding meals or snacks to the Mix and Match diet, then it is likely that you will go over your daily calorie count and then your results may slow down or not be as fast as you would like them to be.

Now, if you are the type of person, who constantly dreams about eating all day …

Then you have a couple of options! You can:

a) Break up the Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner into smaller meals. For example, take the glass of milk from Lunch and separate it so you have to in between Lunch and Dinner so you spread out the calories.

b) Make smaller portions of each of the meals and then use the extra calories to have a snack such as a few almonds, a small cup of yogurt or a protein bar.
