No-Bake Cocoa-nut Bars

While some people are still scared off by the lusciously creamy and delicious fat grams found in coconut, research has shown that the type of fat found in coconut — called MCT — actually helps you get leaner, healthier, and strengthens your immune system.

These chunky chocolate coconut bars are ridiculously easy to make, and they store well in the freezer for about a month (good luck making them last that long). One of the best parts of this nutritious treat is that it really hits the sweet spot while quickly filling you up at the same time, making it simpler to feel happy and satisfied with just a small, portioned-out amount of your indulgence.

The snacks that bet you can never eat just one are your worst nightmare when it comes to weight loss. The snacks that leave you feeling happy and satisfied after just a few mouthfuls, on the other hand, are your very best weight loss buddies. Meet your new coconut BFF.

No-Bake Cocoa-nut Bars

1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

¼ cup 100% pure maple syrup

2 Tbsp virgin coconut oil

½ tsp pure vanilla extract

1/8 tsp salt

¼ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Place all ingredients into a food processer, and process into a thick, uniform batter. Press the batter into a 7×7 baking pan or container, and refrigerate for 1 hour. Then cut into bars and store in the fridge or freezer.
